NFL Network’s Jason La Confora tweeted Monday morning that Redskins running back Clinton Portis is scheduled to be inactive for the Monday night game against the Eagles. La Confora’s report is in agreement with the Washington Post’s feeling that Portis is “doubtful” for the game. Portis has been out with a groin injury suffered in a Week 4 contest with the Eagles. Ryan Torain, who has been hampered by a hamstring injury throughout the practice week, should get the start in his place.
